April is technically the start of spring, but May is when the season really hits its stride. Our friends at Aldi totally get that! They gave us a sneak peek at the list of what’s to come this month, and it’s stacked with fabulously versatile mix-ins and add-ons, flavorful sausage bites and links, marinated skewered meats, and more. Even the pizza is making a strong case for outdoor grilling.

The latest batch of finds has us gearing up for grilling season and hosting outdoor hangs, including the most spontaneous ones. These are the 10 items we’ve got big plans for. Bonus: They’re all $8 or less!

1. Specially Selected Everything Bagel Cold Smoked Salmon, $4.39

File this fridge find under this month’s greatest little luxury. Encrusted in a blend of everything bagel seasoning (you know the one), this smoked salmon will elevate your Saturday morning bagel, lazy picnic lunches, and weeknight dinners alike, starting May 17. Use it to top steamed rice and scallion pancakes, swirl it into pasta, or serve it with a crusty loaf of bread.

2. Tuscan Garden All-Purpose Ranch Seasoning, $3.19

Is there anything ranch seasoning doesn’t improve? Of course, you can convert this into a quick DIY dressing. But that’s just the beginning! Sprinkle it over freshly popped popcorn; swirl it into homemade Chex mix, savory quick breads and biscuits; or add it to crispy breaded chicken cutlets and sandwiches. It truly is all-purpose, and you can find it on shelves May 10.

3. Park Street Deli Cheese or Jalapeño Kolaches, $6.49

These two-bite sausages are giving the traditionally fruit-filled pastries a savory twist. They’re available in two flavors — Cheese and Jalapeño — and reheat in just 30 seconds, which makes them perfect for a last-minute, fresh-out-of-the-oven bite to serve guests. Look for them in the fridge section on May 17.

They’re back! These slightly sweet pickles, with a touch of spice and a sturdy snap, are a fan- and chef-favorite find. Available on May 3, you can slice them into spears or chips and serve them alongside sausages (how convenient!) and sandos, mix them in potato salad, or simply snack on them from the jar, Adam Sandler-style
