We are getting some serious almost-summer weather here in New York state (where I live!), which has me dreaming about backyard cookouts and late weeknight dinners while the sun is actually still out. So imagine my excitement when I saw an email pop up in my inbox from my friends at Aldi just now. They wanted to give me (and in turn, you!) a sneak peek at the May Aldi Finds — almost all of which were created with summer in mind. I couldn’t click through fast enough.

These are the 12 Aldi Finds that I’m looking forward to checking out the moment they roll into stores.

1. Happy Farms Cream Cheese Snack Packs Assorted Varieties, $1.59 each

These little pre-portioned snack packs, which hit stores on May 1, would be great for park picnics or a quick pick-me-up during a hike or bike ride. There’s also a strawberry option with graham crackers and a pretzel pack with vegetable cream cheese.

2. Whole & Simple Shrimp & Grains Single Serve Meals, $4

Grain bowls have been trendy for a while now and I love that Aldi is getting in on the fun. You’ve gotta love shrimp, though, because the two options hitting stores on May 1 both include it. There will be this one pictured above and also a shrimp and grains bowl with asparagus.

3. Cattlemen’s Ranch Pub Style Seasoned Burgers, $5.50 for six

I’ve found that a freezer shortcut and my gas grill can be a savior on a busy weeknight. These “pub-style” burgers seem plumper (they’re 1/3-pound) than most frozen burgers, so I’m going to give them a try. Look for these in stores on May 15.

4. Mama Cozzi’s Pizza Kitchen 12-Inch Gluten Free Pepperoni Pizza, $6

May is Celiac Awareness Month, so Aldi has a bunch of gluten-free options coming out. Look for the liveGfree line, which will have donuts, croutons, cheesecake, pasta, and way more than usual. There’s also this take-and-bake pizza from cult-favorite Mama Cozzi. Look for it in cheese or pepperoni starting on May 8.

5. Mama Cozzi’s Pizza Kitchen 12″ Breakfast Deli Pizza, $6

ALSO! BREAKFAST PIZZA! Featuring cheese, egg, sausage and bacon … with cheese sauce … on a croissant-style crust. In stores on May 29.

6. Deutsche Küche Spinach & Mozzarella Bratwurst, $4

Aldi has lots of brats and sausages coming out. This one hits stores on May 8 and there will also be smoked sausage with sauerkraut and Emmentaler cheese. And a brat with bacon and cheddar cheese.

7. Clancy’s Maple Bacon Wavy Potato Chips, $1.79

Tell me you aren’t the slightest bit curious about these? That’s what I thought! In stores on May 15.

8. Specially Selected Pretzel Hamburger Buns, $2

Because pretzel buns are better than regular buns! At least I know that’s the case for sandwiches, but I’ve never really thought to use them as hamburger buns. That’s about to change for me on May 22, when these hit stores.

9. Casa Sangrioso Sangria Box Wine, $10

I will most likely be picking up a box of this sangria for a party I host in early June. (It comes out on May 15.) I’m slightly worried it’ll be very sweet (most premade sangrias are), but I can always cut it with some seltzer or a dry prosecco (with some fresh lemon juice to add acidity).

10. Range Master 2-Burner Gas Grill, $100

I can’t speak to how well this grill will or won’t work, but I’ll say this. If you need a grill around the middle of the month (it hits stores on May 15), 100 bucks isn’t much to spend on a propane-fueled option.

11. Summer Waves Cookie Float, $10

Food-themed pool floats are always fun for Instagram! Aldi will have this cookie, a taco float, and one that looks like a giant flip flop starting on May 22.

12. Gardenline Wine or Beverage Stake, $2.50

I actually priced these out at other stores last year and this is the lowest I’ve ever seen them. I’m definitely going to pick some up so that my friends and I have a place to put our drinks while we’re playing kubb (aka, the best lawn game in the world). In stores on May 22.
