Aldi Just Leaked Info on 122 New Groceries Hitting Stores This December — These Are the 10 We’re Most Excited About
Reindeer antlers are on. Holiday cookies are out. Tree lights are up. And Mariah Carey is baaaaack. All this to say: The post-Thanksgiving holiday season has arrived and, along with it, there’s a fresh batch of Aldi Finds. Earlier this week our sources at Aldi gave us a sneak peek at what’s to come this December and the list is packed with cart toppers.
There are lots of holiday-themed items (Christmas gnocchi, anyone?), plus luxe desserts, frozen breakfast pastries and apps, festive snacks, and more. It was tough, but we narrowed it down to the ones we’re most excited about. Here are our top 10 finds.
1. Specially Selected Chocolate Hazelnut Croissant, $4.99
Wake up with a freshly baked croissant filled with hazelnut and topped with chocolate every day and twice on Sunday. Coffee and slippers are both optional, but recommended. Find the frozen pastries on December 7.
2. Deutsche Küche Whole Rye Bread, $2.49
Switch up your morning toast or afternoon sandwich, or simply spread with the absolute best butter you can find for a midday (or midnight!) snack. Imported from Germany, this deliciously dense rye bread hits the shelves in Aldi’s most underrated section on December 21.
3. Southern Grove Sweet & Cajun Bar Mix, $7.99
Recreate your favorite cocktail bar at home with this sweet-meets-spicy mix of honey- roasted peanuts and sesame sticks, toffee peanuts, Cajun corn sticks, and roasted almonds. Look for it — and a Sweet & Savory version — in stores starting December 14.
4. Choceur Quinoa Chocolate Peppermint Bites, $2.99
We’ve been raving about Aldi’s chocolate section for years, with zero plans to stop. We have a feeling that once you bring home these Choceur bites on December 7, your friends and family will do the same. Bonus: There’s also a chocolate cranberry flavor.
5. Fusia Asian Inspirations Beef Mandu, $6.29
These ready-made dumplings — filled with fire-grilled, Korean BBQ-style beef patties and vegetables — are quick and easy party-starters. In a mere eight minutes they’ll go from frozen app to sizzling snacks. Find them (and a chicken and veggie version), in the freezer section on December 21.
6. Appetitos Spinach & Cheese Blossoms, $3.99
Can’t get enough heat-and-eat appetizers? These fillo (aka phyllo) blossoms combine flaky pastry with a spinach-and-cheese filling in an adorable party-ready package. How nice for all of us. Add them to your shopping list on December 7.
7. Mama Cozzi’s Pizza Kitchen Thin & Crispy Buffalo Mozzarella Pizza, $4.29
Yet another exciting freezer find hitting stores on December 7, this thin-crust pizza doubles down on the tomato and cheese. Topped with tomato sauce and sliced tomatoes, plus mozzarella and Buffalo mozzarella cheese pearls (how fancy!), it also doubles as an easy dinner or holiday appetizer.
8. Simply Nature Black Bean Corn Tortilla Chips, $2.69
Whether you’re loading up a sheet pan for nachos or snacking straight from the bag, these black bean corn tortilla chips bring a welcomed crispy, salty bite to the party. Find them on shelves December 28 — just in time for NYE celebrations and a few weeks ahead of the NFL playoffs.
9. Priano Christmas Gnocchi, $4.19
As frozen meals go, this is arguably the most festive — maybe ever. The aptly named Christmas gnocchi includes potato and spinach gnocchi in tree and star shapes. Bonus: It’s ready in 10 minutes. Look for them in the freezer section on December 7.
10. Specially Selected Cherry Chocolate Chip German Luxury Cake, $7.99
If cake is on this year’s holiday menu, we highly recommend you hit up the freezer section on December 21 to check out (literally) this luxe and layered cherry chocolate chip cake. The white chocolate drop garnish will bring major snowflake energy to the table.
