Aldi Just Leaked Info on Dozens of New Items That Will Hit Stores in August
It’s my favorite time of the month! The time when I get an extra-special email from my friends at Aldi (hi, guys!). What’s in this email? Oh, just a detailed list of all the new Aldi Finds hitting stores the next month. They break the list down by food, beverages, and non-food items; I got the email just one hour ago and I’ve already looked through everything and written up this post. That’s how excited I get.
Now, here goes. These are the August Aldi Finds I’m most pumped about.
1. Specially Selected Peach Chipotle Tortilla Strips, $2 for 8 ounces
Aldi seems to be leaning in hard on the spicy citrus. We saw a few options, including these Peach Chipotle Tortilla Strips and also Mango Chili Tortilla Strips. In stores on August 7. Tip: There’s a salsa below that will go great with these.
2. Benton’s Coconut Rolls
The price on these guys is still TBD, but I’m guessing they won’t be more than a few bucks. And honestly, I’d pay up to at least $5 just to give these a try! Coconut and black sesame seeds? Yes, please. Look for them in stores on August 7.
3. Specially Selected Spirit Infused Salsa, $2.29 for 16 ounces
Two words for you: boozy salsas. As of August 21, Aldi will have three different options: Pineapple & Rum, Apple Bourbon, and Blood Orange Whiskey. Pair these with those tortilla strips from above and you’ve got yourself a fun snack!
4. Little Salad Bar Grab & Go Seven Grain Salad, $3.50
It’s no secret how much Kitchn editors love a salad kit, so the fact that Aldi is coming out with grain salads has us all types of excited. In addition to this one, there will also be a couscous salad option. Look for them on August 7.
5. Park Street Deli Hummus & Pretzels Snack Cups, $1.69
Aldi is definitely thinking about packing those back-to-school lunch boxes (and even our grown-up lunch bags). In addition to these hummus cups (in stores on August 7), there will also be fresh mozzarella snack sticks ($3.50 and in stores on August 28).
6. Mama Cozzi’s Pizza Kitchen 12-Inch Extreme Bacon Deli Pizza, $4.79
Mama Cozzi’s Pizza has a cult following and often sells out on Friday nights (everyone loves ending the week with a pizza night!). The only thing better than a bacon pizza is an EXTREME bacon pizza. Pencil this into your meal plan for the week of August 28.
7. Earth Grown Non-Dairy Oat-Based Pints, $2.29
I managed to get my hands on these pints (Cold Brew, Vanilla Cookie Chip, and Chocolate) last week — even though they don’t hit stores until August 28. I’ll just say this one thing: I’ve been scooping some out for my husband and he still has no idea that they’re vegan.
8. Heart to Tail Dog Toys, $5 each
Pupsecco! Get it? For a dog toy? As of August 21, there will also be a doughnut, a pie, and a s’more toy. All for pups!
9. Mini Succulents, $2 each
If you’re not keeping your eyes peeled at Aldi for cute plants to put in your kitchen, you really should start. Starting August 14, they’ll have mini succulents for just $2 each.
10. Ambiano Churro Maker, $13
Churros are everywhere these days — including your kitchen, thanks to this little gadget that’ll crisp up the dough without all that oil. Look for it in stores starting August 14.
