Because there is not much to look forward to these days, we’ve been keeping our eyes peeled for little things to celebrate around every turn. And while this news might not rock your world, we came across some grocery-related buzz that made us smile: The Aldi Fan Favorites program is back.

What’s the Fan Favorites Program, you ask? It’s a survey in which Aldi shoppers can vote on their most-loved products in the store. The program is currently open for voting from now until 11:59 p.m. EST on August 7th. Last year, shoppers voted for 23 winners across 23 categories all of which are marked with a special Fan Favorites sticker throughout stores. Although, we were recently informed from an Aldi rep that the 2020 survey includes “a few improvements and new categories!”

Anyone who completes the full survey has a chance to win one of 20 $100 gift cards to Aldi. Free Aldi Finds? Sign us up.

VOTE NOW: Take the Aldi Fan Favorites survey here.

We already cast our votes and, in the spirit of sharing, we’ve included all of our picks below! There were a few sure-fire winners, but also a few categories that were up for debate. Let us know if you disagree with our picks in the comments below!

Favorite Aldi Fall Item: Priano Butternut Squash Ravioli or Bake Shop Apple Cider Donuts. This is a tough one, so we’re going with dinner and dessert.

Favorite Aldi Breakfast Item: NO question here, the Bake Shop Sliced Lemon Loaf Cake takes the cake.

Favorite Aldi Seafood: This frozen bag of Fremont EZ Peel Raw Shrimp was the winner last year and we think it should come out on top again.

Favorite Aldi Easy Meal: Don’t make us choose between Kirkwood Breaded Chicken Breast Fillets or Mama Cozzi’s Take and Bake Deli Pepperoni Pizza. That’s just not fair.

Favorite Aldi Alcohol Item: Aldi may fly under the radar sometimes, but there’s no denying their super affordable wine selection is top notch. We voted for the Trestoria Rosé this year.

Favorite Aldi Cheese: Aldi’s cheese selection would impress even the fanciest of mongers. Emporium Selection Aged Reserve White Cheddar Cheese has those coveted cheese crystals, which is why it has our vote.

Favorite Aldi Deli Item: This category is another tie: Appleton Farms Center Cut Bacon or Appleton Farms Select Deli Meat.

Favorite Aldi Dairy or Dairy-Free Item: As far as dairy goes, we’re huge fans of Friendly Farms Skyr Icelandic Style Yogurt. It’s thick, smooth, and just decadent enough for breakfast or dessert.

Favorite Aldi Fresh Meat: Baby Back Ribs… You know you want to throw these babes on the grill.

Favorite Aldi Baby or Toddler Item: It’s hard to beat Aldi’s prices, which is why parents love to stock up on oft-expensive baby things. Last year the Little Journey Baby Wipes took home the Fan Favorite title, and we think they should win again!

Favorite Better than the Brand Aldi-Exclusive Item: We won’t try to guess which brand the Choceur Peanut Butter Cups are a dupe for … but we will say that they’re some of the very best we’ve tried.

Favorite Aldi Sweet Treat or Dessert: This category was another toss-up between the Belmont Cheesecake Twin Pack and Moser Roth Dark Chocolate. Cheesecake or chocolate? Again, don’t make us choose.

Favorite Aldi Kids Item: Can three items win? If so, we’d vouch for the Organic White Cheddar Puffs, Happy Farms String Cheese, and Simply Nature Organic Mac and Cheese. May the best cheese win.

Favorite Aldi Bread or Baked Good: The L’oven Fresh Pain Au Chocolat tastes like you’ve gone to Paris. And in times like these, that’s something that shall not be taken for granted.

Favorite Aldi Produce Item: No joke, Cotton Candy Grapes really taste like cotton candy. Don’t believe us? Give them a try and then circle back with us here.

Favorite Aldi Vegetarian or Vegan Item: Of all the plant-based “ice cream” we’ve tried, we have to take our hats off to Earth Grown Vegan Mocha Fudge Non-Dairy Dessert. It’s so creamy you won’t even notice it’s dairy-free.

Favorite Aldi Aldi Winter Item: Can someone please settle the score between the Emporium Selection Cheese Advent Calendar or the Wine Advent Calendar? Which would you rather receive as a gift?

Favorite Aldi Gluten-Free Item: As far as gluten-free items go, Aldi has an excellent selection. We love both the Savoritz Parmesan Crisps or Live Gfree Rosemary and Olive Oil Multiseed Crackers.

Favorite Aldi Snack: At $5.19, a 10-ounce package of Southern Grove Chili Lime Cashews are arguably the store’s best bargain. They’re also one of the tastiest snacks in the store.

Favorite Aldi Pantry Staple: Aldi’s Stonemill Everything Bagel Seasoning is definitely up there as a contender against Trader Joe’s Everything But the Bagel Seasoning.

Be forewarned: At the end of the survey, you’ll also be prompted to choose your absolute favorite item. Let the best grocery win! Reminder, 20 $100 gift cards are at stake and you have until 11:59 p.m. on August 7th to participate! We promise to report back with the results.
