As meals go, Thanksgiving is an epic one. For starters, there are small bites and grazing boards. What typically follows is an enviable parade of bread baskets, casseroles, roasted vegetables, turkey and potatoes (so many potatoes!), and an actual boatload of gravy to pour over it all. And then there are the desserts — yes, plural.

Of course, none of these delights are possible without a smart oven strategy and a grocery haul or, if we’re being honest, several grocery hauls. And there’s also plenty of budgeting that goes into the day, which is where Aldi comes in.

The discount grocer is known for its budget-friendly staples and seasonal finds, and this year it’s rolling prices back — and by that we mean three years back. From November 2 through November 29, Aldi will be discounting popular Thanksgiving items to 2019 prices. It’s called the Thanksgiving Price Rewind, and it includes more than 50 holiday appetizers, sides, and desserts. (Select products will be clearly marked with the Aldi Thanksgiving Price Rewind icon.) Here are the three we’re most excited about.

1. Emporium Selection Brie Cheese Round, $2.99

It’s not every day you find an entire wheel of Brie for under $3, unless of course that day is today (or tomorrow, or the next day) and you’re shopping at Aldi. Originally $3.39, this cheese would look — and taste — great wrapped in flaky puff pastry.

2. Cornbread Stuffing Mix, $0.75

In our stuffing mix taste test, Aldi’s cornbread came out on top, thanks to its balanced combo of tiny crumbles (to soak up the broth) and slightly larger crouton-sized bites. It’s the ultimate shortcut to slightly sweet, oniony and herby cornbread stuffing — and as of today, it’s 10 cents cheaper (down from $0.85).

3. Bake Shop Apple Pie, $4.99

Whether you’re the host or a guest, this standout dessert that could totally pass for homemade is not to be missed. At $4.99 (originally $5.89), it’s the leading contender for MVP (Most Valuable Pie) of the season.
