Whether or not you saw our post about the upcoming Aldi Finds that will hit stores in August (it’s here if you want to go back and read it!), there’s ONE thing that you simply must know about. And that’s the fact that Aldi is coming out with boozy salsas! That’s right — mark your calendars for the week of August 21.

There will be three fun flavors: Pineapple & Rum, Blood Orange & Whiskey, and Apple & Bourbon. We sadly haven’t gotten to try them yet, but we’re already dreaming of them and what we’d like to dip into each of them. For example, we’re thinking sweet potato tortilla chips for the Apple & Bourbon, lime tortilla chips for Pineapple & Rum, and sourdough pretzels for the Blood Orange & Whiskey one. (Let’s face it, we’re really talking about salsa delivery vessels, but we really do think these things will enhance the contents of each jar.)

Also, we think you could absolutely cook with these. Can we interest you in some Blood Orange & Whiskey salsa chicken? Or Pineapple & Rum salsa over grilled fish? Or slow cooker Apple & Bourbon salsa pork chops? These flavors just sound like they’ll pair with proteins super well!

These new salsas hit stores on August 21 and are technically Aldi Finds, which means they’ll only be available for a limited time. (Although, if they’re huge sellers, there’s a chance they can be added to the store’s inventory on a more permanent basis.) Each 16-ounce jar will retail for a mere $2.29.

And while we’re talking about boozy condiments (is salsa a condiment?) Aldi will also be launching Moonshine BBQ Sauces (on August 21 for $2.29 per 14-ounce bottle). There will be Pineapple, Smoky Mustard, and Black Pepper Steak. All three are sweet-yet-tangy and made with “just the right amount of moonshine.”
