The $4 Aldi Bakery Find Shoppers Have Been Waiting for All Summer

S’mores are always the best part of a campfire, am I right? The melted chocolate, toasted marshmallows, and buttery graham crackers are a trifecta of flavors and textures that we can get behind no matter the season. (Heck, we don’t even need a campfire — we’ve been known to make s’mores indoors, too.) The iconic treat is endlessly satisfying, so we’re constantly trying to recreate the sweet experience when we get home, like with these s’mores bars, s’mores cookies, or s’more blondies. (Check out all of our favorite easy s’mores-inspired recipes.) But if you’re not in the mood to bake — or it’s too hot to turn on the oven — don’t worry. Our favorite German grocery store, Aldi, has just dropped the perfect dessert solution. 

Recently released to Aldi’s bakery shelves, Bakeshop Mini S’mores Cupcakes are here, and boy do they sound delicious. First, we know desserts sound better when they’re mini, right? Right. Second, the s’mores-flavored dessert delivers everything we love about a sweet bite-sized treat. The cute little cupcakes feature marshmallow and chocolate whipped frosting (yes, please!) and graham cracker sprinkles (um, three words that will get any s’mores lover very, very excited). These cupcakes are also a steal; they come in a package of 12 for just $4.49 — the perfect, special sweet treat after dinner or with your afternoon coffee.

These are a re-release to Aldi shelves, as it does seem like they were spotted last summer. And you know that means only one thing: They were such a hit that the grocery store knew they needed to bring them back for customers.

While snacking on one of these may not be the same as time spent around a campfire, it is a whole lot easier than pitching a tent and dealing with mosquitos for that perfect ooey-gooey s’mores bite. We’ll take it!
