Alan's Quirky Kitchen

Alan's Quirky Kitchen

Kitchens are so fun to personalize, yet often kitchens still end up looking cookie cutter and rather boring. It was so refreshing to see Alan Gonzalez's kitchen, because he dared to think a little more creatively about the surfaces and finishes used in his space.

Alan certainly isn't afraid of black and frequently uses it throughout this home. He painted an entire wall with chalkboard paint in the kitchen — it creates the drama he was after while still serving a purpose.

The juxtaposition of the OSB walls, stainless steel cabinetry and white countertops is astounding. The cabinets and countertops are so sleek and refined while the OSB is rustic and abrasive (in a refreshing way).
