In my house, stuffing is always the most popular Thanksgiving dish on the table. As a result, we make double the amount we really need just so we can eat leftovers for a week! And while leftover stuffing by itself is delicious, turning it into hushpuppies? Now that’s just pure wizardry. Here’s how to use your air fryer to make near-instant two-ingredient fried hushpuppies.

The Easiest, Most Ingenious Use for Leftover Stuffing

All you need to do is add one large beaten egg to your leftover stuffing, which is likely already pretty moist from sitting in the fridge for a couple of days. Use your hands to form the mixture into one-inch balls, then fry in your air fryer at 375ºF for five to six minutes until golden-brown and crunchy. Dip ’em in leftover gravy for the full experience.

Thanks to the air fryer, you get to skip heating a huge pot of oil on the stove — meaning way less work and way less mess. They’re lighter and less oily, too, which is welcomed after a heavy Thanksgiving dinner. Trust me when I say this will become a new tradition.
