Make This Buffalo Cauliflower in Your Air Fryer This Weekend
Just like the Instant Pot, the air fryer has skyrocketed in popularity in the last few years. The appliance all-star helps you cook food with a fraction of the oil usually needed when you deep-fry something. In a recent review of the air fryer, Kitchn’s Associate Food Editor Meghan Splawn noted it’s especially great for frozen foods, “roasted” vegetables, quick doughnuts, and chicken.
Still not convinced you need one? Let’s talk about this Buffalo cauliflower recipe from Laura Lea Balanced. It caught my eye while scrolling through Pinterest the other day, and now I think it might be time to invest in this trendy appliance.
I love Buffalo sauce. I love cauliflower. I really love Buffalo cauliflower. It’s the perfect addition to a meal and the best appetizer for a party. It’s surprising and somewhat healthy (?) so I don’t feel bad eating multiple servings.
This recipe for Buffalo cauliflower goes beyond your oven and uses the air fryer to make things crispy. All you need to do is preheat your air fryer, mix together the Buffalo sauce (hot sauce, maple syrup, avocado oil, nutritional yeast, cornstarch, and salt) and then toss in your cauliflower to coat. Then you take your cauliflower and put it in the air fryer and cook for 12-14 minutes. The blogger also recommends you shake the basket halfway through the cook time.
Leftovers (if you’re somehow able to not eat the entire batch) will last about four days in the fridge.
