As an enthusiastic collector of cookware, there are three letters that make my eyes light up: DTC. Direct-to-consumer companies cut out the middleman and sell, well, directly to cooks like you and me, offering a simpler chain of supply and overall lower prices than other retailers. That’s why DTC brands don’t hold sales very often — and why we take notice when they do! Like right now, one of Kitchn’s favorite DTC cookware companies, Abbio, is offering an ultra-rare sitewide sale in honor of July 4. You can score 40 percent off everything — yes, everything! — on the site. Just enter code COOK40 at checkout.

I’d recommend ordering a piece or two from Abbio anytime, but this opportunity is just too good to pass up. No matter what you choose, you can’t go wrong, but to help get you started, check out the three best buys from the site — IMO.

If you regularly cook (and you’re here, so I assume you do), you need one knockout nonstick skillet in your arsenal. Abbio’s version is generously sized at a full 11", which means you can scramble fearlessly, as well as sear and sauté without crowding the pan. It’s made without PFOAs and is virtually scratch resistant, so you’ll feel safe using it with wild abandon. Honestly, that’s reason enough to invest in this surprisingly affordable pan, but it’s also oven-safe up to 450 degrees and can be used with induction burners. Like all of Abbio’s purchases, this one comes with a silicone hot pad, so you can take the pan straight to the table. It’s a winner!

This two-quart sauce pan is right-sized for countless cooking tasks, like making your morning oatmeal, hard-boiling a few eggs, and simmering a batch of pilaf. With so many other sauce pans vying for your attention, what makes this one special? Well, it’s 600-degree oven-safe construction, for one. It also has a tapered lip that makes pouring easy (and less messy). “Pan is easy to maneuver, looks great, and is easy to clean. Couldn't ask for much more in a sauce pan,” raves one customer review.

Never have I ever seen such a high-quality cookware set at such an affordable price. Abbio’s collection contains both small and large nonstick skillets, the stockpot (with a lid!), the saucepan (with a lid!), and the sauté pan (guess!). The superiorly crafted pieces are all-clad, which means that — unlike other cost-effective cookware — they offer excellent heat retention and distribution. With efficient design and durable construction that’s no-frills and all business, these are the pieces you’ll reach for day in and day out.
