As baby gets bigger, it’s both fun and practical to make recipes that mama and baby can share at snacktime and lunchtime. Amy Palanjian of Yummy Toddler Food shares a smart, savvy set of meals with flavor twists to nourish both mama and toddler (plus lactation cookies for the nursing mom).

If you have been reading food and shelter magazines over the past few years, chances are you’ve enjoyed Amy Palanjian’s work. She has been an editor for ReadyMade and Better Homes and Gardens, and she has written for Parents, Momtastic, Real Simple, and beyond.

In addition to all of this writing, her own personal project is one we love here at The Kitchn: Yummy Toddler Food, a website that shares recipes and feeding advice geared towards 1- to 3-year-olds, but with food that’s delicious enough for the whole family.

This week Amy is bringing her experience in recipe development and as a mom herself to The Kitchn, with recipes designed for quick and easy prep and that have options for both simple and more complex flavors. The result: happy toddlers and nourished mamas.
