When asked about their favorite room in their fantastic Amsterdam apartment, Elena and Judd unequivocally said the kitchen: “It’s really the anchor to the house, and with our small but open floor plan it is great to cook and chat at the same time.” This is a lovely little kitchen — just check out that stove!

The couple designed and built the kitchen themselves using stock cabinets with custom doors and handles by Wouter Verhoef at Moving Works. They also made an effort to pay attention to the details, because “that help[s] tie everything together as you look closer,” they tell Apartment Therapy in this recent tour. For example, the wood trim on the kitchen shelf was added to match the kitchen cabinets. Simply charming!
