A Tailored San Francisco Kitchen With Terrific Backsplash Tiles
Scared of doing something dramatic in your kitchen? Don’t be! Taking a risk is all part of the fun, say Jordan and Chris in their recent House Tour on Apartment Therapy: “We’re crazy about our yellow kitchen island and our slate colored dining room ceiling, though we realize it’s not for everyone.” That philosophy also applies to the large vintage poster in the kitchen, and the unusual — and stunning! — white backsplash tiles.
It’s no secret I’m a fan of going dark in the kitchen, so the dark blue walls (“Raccoon Fur” by Benjamin Moore) are totally working for me.
But my favorite feature in this kitchen are the arrow-ish backsplash tiles from Fireclay. Such a nice and subtle alternative to standard white subway tiles.
Jordan and Chris’ advice to all of us? “At the end of the day, do what makes you happy. It is after all, your home!” We couldn’t have said it better ourselves!
