"I like my senses to be stimulated," says Lizzie in a recent Apartment Therapy House Tour. When she moved into her (now) husband's Glasgow flat three years ago, she couldn't stand all the beige, so she made some bold color choices that infused the space — particularly the kitchen! — with personality.
A lot of her inspiration, says Lizzie, comes from her travels. "The jade green used in the kitchen is the exact same shade as an entire gypsy house in a tiny village in Romania I saw when I was eighteen. I loved it so much I knew I wanted to reflect it in my own home one day."
There are all kinds of other charming, quirky details, like mismatched cabinet knobs and knick-knack mementos. All in all, a bright, bold kitchen that defies all things beige and bland!
