A Simple, Clever Way to Keep Bugs out of Your Drink

Cool drinks like lemonade, iced tea, and fruity punches make summertime sweeter — not to mention a whole lot more refreshing. But there’s one thing that can put a damper on sipping cool drinks outdoors: bugs. Put your drink down for five minutes and without fail, there are a few tiny gnats or flies doing the backstroke across the top.

When sipping outside, there’s a super simple — and super cute — way to keep the bugs out.

All that stands between you and a bug-free drink is a cupcake liner. Think of it almost as a big drink umbrella paired with a cute straw. Make a small hole in the center of the liner, pop a straw through, cover your filled glass, and sip away.

Standard-sized liners work with most glasses, but opt for a jumbo liner for larger rimmed glasses.
