A Scalloped-Edge Studio Kitchen

This cute little studio kitchen in Austin has a lot of vintage charm — all the better for renter Emily Ardoin, who has a soft spot for old things. She makes the kitchen feel cozy with bright accent pieces and textiles that go well with the scalloped edge cabinets.

“I’m attracted to old things, but I don’t want to live in an antique shop,” says Emily in this House Tour. “I tend to buy (usually old) things I love and make them work together as best I can, adding in simple newer pieces to balance everything out.”

Because Emily’s kitchen is so small, she’s moved some of her kitchen storage to the living space. The setup above holds both a microwave and a toaster oven, but it’s also a home bar!
