A Do-It-Yourself Polka Dot Tablecloth: Made With Potatoes!

If you've ever wistfully eyed the table linens at Anthropologie, but cringed a little at the price, here's something that may perk you up: a do-it-yourself version! Inspired by some block-printed napkins she saw at Anthropologie, Jordan Ferney of Oh Happy Day decided to make her own. And all it took was a $15 tablecloth and some potatoes!

This tablecloth is really so easy, anyone could do it — and that includes people who aren't normally DIY-types, like myself. Just cut a potato to get a 3-inch wide chunk, dip it in white textile paint, and stamp it on the tablecloth. Then repeat! The tablecloth is meant to look a little imperfect, Jordan says, so don't worry if your lines aren't straight.

(If you love this look, make sure to check out Jordan's painted floral tablecloth, too!)
