6 Quick Asian Snacks

Looking for a speedy snack or lunch? Here are six ideas inspired by the cuisines and flavors of Asia. Some of these can be made fairly quickly on the spot, while others might be prepared ahead of time to enable easy snacking later. And all of them are vegetarian, vegan, or veg-friendly.

1 Addictively crunchy wasabi-toasted nori crisps
2 Maki sushi with vegetables or umeboshi pickled plums and shiso leaves (pictured)
3 Refreshing and easyJapanese pickled cucumber
4 Pa jeon, or Korean pancakes with vegetables, meat, or seafood
5 Spring or summer rolls with vegetables and mint (pictured) or kimchi and tofu

6 Edamame - steamed, boiled, or simply defrosted if frozen
