6 Celebrities Who Need to Get in on the Meal Kit Delivery Business
The meal kit business is absolutely booming – Amazon’s in on it, the New York Times is in on it, hell, Beyonce is in on it — but just because we have tons of options to choose from doesn’t mean we’re satisfied! Here are six celebrities that I think are long overdue to brighten the meal kit delivery landscape with their personalities.
1. Jennifer Lawrence
Pizza and french fries delivered hot to your door literally every time you think about food (which, let’s be honest, is 24/7). Each shipment would come with a deck of cards full of quirky-cute excuses to get out of any commitment — even your immediate circumstances — so you can sneak a bite to eat. Of course, every single one would be guaranteed to work 100 percent of the time, every time, all without sacrificing your trademark charm.
Although he’s often teased for his melancholy lyrics, I think Drake’s image really lends itself to a line of comfort food classics. He seems like a laid-back guy despite all the heartbreak, which is why I would trust him to deliver things like mac and cheese, pot roast, chicken noodle soup, and loaded mashed potatoes to my doorstep. Of course, I’d expect every entree to come with a side of his Whiskey, Virginia Black — just to soothe the blues.
3. Chris Pratt
The former Mr. Dwyer’s kits would be all-American and full of ingredients for things like burgers, pizza, meatloaf, ice cream sundaes, and apple pie. Orders would be delivered exclusively by way of cherry-red pick-up trucks, and each one would come with an ice-cold case of beer. Yes, please.
4. The Kardashians
As much as I really don’t care about the Kardashians, I really couldn’t make this list without including them. Their kits would be the healthiest of the bunch, since their whole life seems to consist of nothing more than “looking good” for the media. I’d imagine the end product would be a lot like Beyonce’s — only you’d be a little bit embarrassed to have it delivered.
5. Ina Garten
Ina’s recipes call for a lot of “really good” ingredients, but what if I can’t find them at my local store? Enter: her meal kit service, where perfectly portioned vials of aged balsamic and extra-virgin olive oil are sent to me, so I never have to worry if my ingredients are just good or really good again.
6. Bob from Bob’s Burgers
Maybe I shouldn’t consider a cartoon character a celebrity, but we’re playing in imagination land today, so I’m gonna do what I want. One of my favorite things about the show is seeing whatever dad joke name he’s come up with for his special of the day. They’re always so bad in the best way (i.e.,a “Poutine on the Ritz Burger,” which comes with poutine fries), and they’re always something I’d be happy to eat. I’d subscribe to this all grilling season long if I could!
