I have been seriously appreciating food and science writer (and oyster farmer!) Tamar Haspel's Washington Post column Unearthed. Her pieces grapple with polarizing issues like big vs. small farms and, most recently, the GMO debate. Instead of coming down hard on one side, she offers five places we could quit arguing.
However you feel about GMOs it's a good read and a look at some the current science in the field, not to mention some thoughts on having a civil debate in a challenging space.
