Sometimes when hunger strikes, I need a snack that’ll really give me a boost. I’m talking about something ultra-invigorating that will not only keep the hanger at bay, but also will ignite my senses. These are the times I reach for something spicy, like one of these one fiery snacks.

1. Sriracha and Honey Popcorn

Popcorn is best eaten by the handful — a true snack-lover’s delight. Whether you make your own or go for a bag of store-bought, give those kernels a kick by tossing them with Sriracha, plus a touch of sweet honey for good measure.

2. Wasabi Roasted Chickpeas

If you love those crunchy green wasabi peas, wasabi roasted chickpeas are right up your alley. Wasabi powder makes each bite a little bit like playing roulette, with some pieces that pack more of a punch than others. Get a really spicy one and it’s enough to clear your sinuses.

3. Spicy Guacamole

Guacamole is typically known as the cool, creamy dip paired with tortilla chips, but all it takes is a few of your favorite fresh chiles and some red pepper flakes to give this dip a seriously spicy kick.

4. Hard-Boiled Egg with Smoked Sea Salt and Gochujang

Hard-boiled eggs are my ideal protein pick-me-up, but when I want a snack that’ll really give me a kick, I halve the egg and top each half with a sprinkle of smoked sea salt and a schmear of fiery gochujang.
