5 IKEA Candies That Would Be Better in Oreos than Swedish Fish
Nabisco released a new flavor of Oreo a couple weeks ago, and it’s a far cry from the birthday cake and cookie dough flavors we’ve grown familiar with on grocery store shelves. Oreo’s latest flavor replaces its traditional creme filling with Swedish Fish gummy candy. The new limited-edition flavor is only available at Kroger stores, but if you don’t have one nearby, don’t get FOMO just yet. Those brave enough to try the new flavor have called the creme filling “sticky,” “chewy,” and “a personal crisis,” and have compared it to Play-Doh.
I think we can do better than that, don’t you? Now that the flavor floodgates have opened, we may as well run with it. Sticking with the Swedish theme, here are a few candies from the epic selection at IKEA that would make a better Oreo filling than Swedish Fish.
1. Rambo Twist
With alternating stripes of jelly and nougat, this candy tastes like strawberries and cream. Chocolate, strawberry, cream — what could possibly go wrong?
2. Caramel Twist
The caramel twist is a buttery nugget of caramel licorice. Putting this in the middle of those two chocolate wafers would make a deliciously salty, sweet, and chocolatey cookie.
3. Raspberry Hearts
Raspberries and chocolate are a no-brainer. These cute heart-shaped gummies would make that perfect Oreo combo possible.
4. Rum Sprinkles
It’s actually surprising that there hasn’t been a booze-flavored Oreo yet. Time to change that with this rum-flavored chocolate truffle.
5. Vanilla Mallow
It’s pretty much your classic homemade marshmallow, similar to the creme filling of the original Oreo. You’d get the flavor of a s’more without having to build a campfire. It would be a good rival for those new
