With summer coming to an end, chances are the amount of time you have to dedicate to your morning routine is growing slim. And for those of you that have children, you can take that free time down even more. But thanks to the self-appointed “Internet Mom” Barbara Costello’s latest breakfast recipe, you may have the meal prep hack your mornings have been longing for.

The Sausage Cream Cheese Crescent Rolls recipe — which Babs noted to her Instagram followers is one of her family’s favorites — lists out almost all of its required ingredients in its name. And with four ingredients total, this quick and easy recipe will be ready to dish out in less than 30 minutes.

Start by preheating the oven to 350°F and cracking open two cans of store-bought crescent rolls, allowing them to sit while you prepare your filling. Cook 16 ounces of ground sausage, crumbled as finely as possible, before mixing in 8 ounces of softened cream cheese. For those who want a super cheesy breakfast, you can also add in an optional additional cup of shredded sharp cheddar. Babs also suggests adding jalapeños if you like to spice things up.

Once your filling is ready, unfold the crescent dough and cut each of the pre-cut triangles in half, lengthwise. Place one tablespoon of filling onto each half-triangle and — beginning with the thickest end — roll them up tightly. Be sure to tuck the dough at the ends to keep your filling from spilling out during the baking process. Place the sausage rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Since this recipe makes 24 compact sausage rolls and takes no time to create, you’ll have plenty to serve out to your guests or more than enough for the family to take on the go. Feeling like 24 may be too many to eat in one day? Not to worry as these can be frozen for up to two months. So when you’re ready to eat them, all you have to do is pop them in the microwave or air fryer to reheat.
