30 Under 30: Up and Coming Figures in Food
We are quite inspired by Splashlife’s list of 30 people aged 30 and under who are doing something special in the world of food. From Top Chef’s Kevin Gillespie to the 30-year-old co-founder of specialty pickle company McClure’s Pickles, these are people who have discovered a passion for food at a young age and are embracing it wholeheartedly.
Unlike Gourmet Live’s list of 50 women game-changers, this list mostly includes unfamiliar names, including a 17-year-old chef in Florida, the 29-year-old field manager at Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture, and the partners (ages 26 and 27) behind a fresh pasta business based in Massachusetts.
It’s a diverse bunch, and reading their short profiles and answers to questions like “What challenges do you face in the food industry?” gives a glimpse into the difficulties — and joys! — of working in the food world.
