Humble but reliable, a really good dip is both a guaranteed party hit and an easy win for the host. Dips can be made ahead of time, are a snap to put together, and are easy to serve to a crowd. Plate them on fancy serving dishes around a moat of high-quality chips at a party, or scoop them straight out of the mixing bowl with chips from the bag at casual hangs. Really, what can’t a dip do?

The best are dips are substantial — full of chunky vegetables, melty cheese, and texture galore — and these three hearty dips fit the bill perfectly. The problem is that most chips aren’t up to the challenge. Many a chip will crumble under the duress of a thick hummus or strands of gooey cheese.

Cape Cod Waves™ Potato Chips, however, are not your average chip. Cooked in custom kettles, these wavy chips have an extra-crisp crunch that was specifically made to stand up to the thickest of spreads. We tested them against each of these robust dips, and they passed at every scoop.

Purple Cauliflower Hummus

Hummus is no stranger to the party scene, but we’re stirring things up with our purple cauliflower hummus. A surefire way to get your guests talking, this purple dip turns fuchsia with the squeeze of a lemon over top! We love scooping it up with Cape Cod Sea Salt Waves™, a perfect complement to this electric dip.

Feta Salsa

Did someone say chips and salsa? Cape Cod Waves™ and feta salsa are a fresh take on the classic combo. The salsa still starts with juicy summertime tomatoes, but is chock-full of feta and Kalamata olives, plus fresh basil and dill to really drive home those Mediterranean vibes. We’re dipping in with Cape Cod Reduced Fat Sea Salt Waves™. They jive especially well with the rich cheese and olives, and their ridges hold onto all those chunky bits.

Baked Jalapeño Popper

How can we talk about chips and dip without calling on some throwback flavors? Baked jalapeño popper dip is what your weekend get-together needs. This warm, cheesy dip features all the flavors of your favorite bar snack — no stuffing or frying required. Stir it up in advance and bake it off right before you need it. Serve with Cape Cod White Cheddar and Sour Cream Waves™ and win at life.

Whether you go cheesy, chunky, or chickpea-y, make sure that your chip is up to the challenge.
