We’re not too big on New Year’s dieting resolutions here on The Kitchn, but we are all about hitting the reset button after the many delights and indulgences of the holidays. This batch of recipes is not meant in any way to be a “diet” plan, but rather a roundup of ideas for lighter, greener, fresher fare to work into your weekly meals.
Here are our very favorite smoothies, as well as a few warm breakfasts for those of you who like to eat something more substantial. Simple soups and hearty salads (hello, kale!) are perfect for January lunches, and hey, what about pan-seared fish tacos or a chickpea-tofu stir-fry for dinner? With recipes like these, getting a fresh start on healthy eating is no hardship at all.
