Every March we herald the release of the newest KitchenAid stand mixer colors. While many specialty kitchen tools have fans and promoters, none seem as ardent as stand mixer fans: they’re a baker’s essential, as many readers pointed out here, and oh-so-pretty.

So, in an ode to this iconic piece, here are 15 stand mixers pulled from our tours. To paraphrase from Dirty Dancing, nobody puts this baby in a corner. (Actually, totally not true. Pretty much everyone puts this baby in a corner. It’s the most convenient place for it to sit on the counter!)
