It's been a hard election year. Kitchn has generally stayed away from talking about what's been happening in the election, but today is a little different. As we all watch the results come in tonight, I think everyone deserves some comfort food (and a stiff drink). After you're done voting, turn on your oven or stove and cook something that will make you feel a little bit better.

As you wait for the polls to close, there's nothing that will calm your fears more than this gooey, hot apple-filled bread. If you want to really go all out, please add a scoop of ice cream to your creation.
