10 Teeny Kitchens with Humongous Style
Fun fact: You don’t need a big kitchen to have big style. Some of our favorite kitchens are less than 500 square-feet. How do these little rooms pull off such flair? With a focus on fine finishes, quality pieces, and lots of attention to detail.
Read on to see a few of our favorite totally-put-together small kitchens.
1. An industrial kitchen
This kitchen is part of a 355-square-foot apartment. The peninsula adds prep and storage space in a kitchen that would otherwise be way too small. Love the farmhouse sink and open shelving? You’ll also love the Smeg fridge that’s tucked away off to the side of the kitchen.

2. A bold blue kitchen
Peacock blue on these lower cabinets gets offset by other gorgeous finishes, like brass cabinet pulls, subway tile, and beautiful globe pendant lights. By keeping the saturated color on the lower cabinets only, the homeowners were able to add personality without going overboard.

3. A striking kitchen floor
Patterns aren’t always a great idea for small spaces (they can be overwhelming), but they can totally work on the floor. This kitchen benefits from a dramatic floor with simple accents. A bit of gray with blue and pops of yellow? Yes, please!

Sometimes, less is more. This minimalist kitchen feels extra spacious because of the lack of clutter. The bright countertops, backsplash, and walls help to bounce light around as well.

5. A wallpapered kitchen
Photographer Audra and her husband made the most of the kitchen in their 900-square-foot home by accenting its natural charm. Their favorite part of the space: the ceiling! They papered it with a jungle-inspired palm leaf print, adding a fun pop of pattern to the space.

8. A kitchen on a single wall
This kitchen, from Entrance, fits neatly along one wall of an open space that is the kitchen, dining room, and living room. We’re actually glad there’s no dividing wall that hides this beautiful space.

Believe it or not, this kitchen is part of an Airstream. As in, a home on wheels! We’re not sure what we love the most — the tiled backsplash, the Scandinavian-like wood, the gold accents, or the smart storage solutions.
10. A glam rental kitchen
We’ve included this rental kitchen on this list to show that you don’t need to have custom cabinets and a giant reno budget to get a small space with style. This New York City rental got upgraded with just a little bit of paint and some smart accessories.
