Good news, all you maids of honor: You only need two things in order to come up with the most ingenious bridal shower theme of all time. First, start with a food the bride really likes. Got it? Now just think of one other thing that goes with it. That’s it! There’s your theme for the bridal shower! From there, planning the menu and the decorations is a piece of, um, three-tiered wedding cake.

Here are 10 ideas to get your wheels spinning. Of course, you can just steal one of these and call it a day.

1. Brunch and Bubbles

If you can predict, with 99 percent accuracy, where you’d find the bride on a random Saturday afternoon (sipping mimosas and eating eggs Benedict at her favorite restaurant), this is the theme for her. Plan a menu with all sorts of easy-to-serve breakfast items like quiche, casseroles, and cinnamon rolls. And then dress up the space with tons of metallic balloons and confetti.

2. Tacos and Tequila

This theme can be dressed down for a just-because party on a Tuesday or dressed up for a bridal shower this summer. Serve tacos (mini or otherwise, although we’re pretty partial to these scoops standing in as little taco bowls) and decorate the room with a bunch of succulents and mini piñatas.

3. Sweets and Sips

For the girl with the ultimate sweet tooth, this party just needs a bunch of candy and plenty of pink accents, including streamers. All the streamers. Rosé wine seems like a no-brainer, as do these rosé gummy bears.

4. Cupcakes and Cocktails

Have you ever met anyone who doesn’t like either of these two things? That’s how you know this theme will go over well with the bride and all of her guests. Get an assortment of cupcakes and make pitchers of cocktails. Then, just hang up a bunch of paper rosettes and the room will instantly become bridal-worthy. Don’t forget the swizzle sticks!

5. Doughnuts and Diamonds

This theme puts the emphasis on a girl’s best friend. (Diamonds, for those of you who didn’t know.) Set up a donut station and stud the room with glimmering tea lights and fake diamonds. Tip: If you’re feeling extra crafty, search Pinterest for “diamond donuts.”

6. S’mores and More

If the bride is planning a rustic wedding or one with a fire pit (trust us — it’s trending!), this party is perfect. Throw it in your own backyard and string up some kraft paper banners along the fence or the drink table. Set out some birch paper straws for an extra-woodsy touch.

7. Wine and Cheese

It doesn’t get any more chic than a wine and cheese party. Well, maybe a wine and cheese party with peonies. Set out little knives and picks to help guests serve themselves.

8. Burgers and Beers

Keep the shower casual with burgers and beers in your backyard. Bonus: This is especially fun for a co-ed shower. Leading up to the party, save all your empty beer bottles and you’ve got the perfect little bud vases for the tables. Simple kraft paper plates can round out the look.

9. Pie and Punch

Wanna make the bride pleased as punch? Throw her a pie-and-punch-themed shower. Go sweet or savory with the pies and add in a bowl or two of punch. Then, punch up the room (sorry, we couldn’t help it) with some adorable pom-pom garlands. Wooden forks mess up the alliteration, but they will come in handy.

10. Teas and Bees

We’ve seen plenty of Mad Hatter-themed showers, but why not take a tea party a different direction and pair it up with honey and bees? Mini honey jars make adorable favors, while tea, finger sandwiches, and little cookies build a complete menu. Of course, you’ll have to have some honeycomb tissue paper balls for decoration.
