Let’s face it, of course Thanksgiving is all about the turkey but it also has a whole lot to do with pies (especially so in my fiance’s family). It seems as though everyone rushes through dinner anticipating the arrival of the pies on the table.
It seems as though the pies are already being cut up and dished out before they even touch the table. Whether it’s apple, pumpkin or sweet potato — it gets devoured. The key to a great pie — a great pie pan. Some people swear by aluminum throw-aways while others swear by cast iron (we’re with those cast iron lovers!)
