Happy Thanksgiving! Whether you're hosting or attending the festivities today, there's a chance you've been tasked with making something for the table. And if that something is dessert, I've got a super-easy recipe that you can whip up this morning without breaking a sweat.
This pumpkin mousse has all the flavors of pumpkin pie without the hassle of actually making a pie. You know what they say — no crust, no fuss. (Okay, maybe no one says that, but it's true.)
Simply whip some heavy cream and crème fraîche together and then add in pumpkin purée, maple syrup, ground spices (cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and clove), and a little salt to make the mousse.
When you're ready to assemble, pipe the mousse into individual ramekins, sprinkling crushed store-bought gingersnap cookies in between to add some crunchy layers. Top with a whole gingersnap or two and a dollop of whipped cream to seal the deal.
