We strongly believe in the power of the freezer. Some of us don't use that mysterious space above our fridge for much other than ice cream. But the freezer is such a good place for ingredients and leftovers. Properly stored, food can last for a long time and really help you out on a busy weeknight. But that's the key, right? Properly stored and clearly labeled so you don't end up with mystery bags and unintelligible Sharpie scrawl two months later. Enter the Don't Fah-Get freezer bags.

These bags have a nearly unbearably cheesy name, but the concept is solid. They are pre-printed with almost all the info you'd want on a freezer bag: date, contents, and a blank space for reheating or recipe instructions. We think this is a great idea, and when we get around to freezing some of our garden's bounty at the end of the summer, we may buy a few of these to help keep our shredded zucchini and tomato pulp straight.

• More information: Don't Fah-Get Freezer Bags, $6.49 for 30 freezer-size bags. Many more sizes available.
