Yes, there is a World Nutella Day, to celebrate everyone's favorite hazelnut spread. In Italy, Nutella can't be labeled a chocolate spread because it doesn't meet minimum cocoa requirements. Those Italians, they take their chocolate very seriously. We should take note. But whether you call it chocolate, hazelnut, or just good, Nutella is in a class of its own. Here are a few of our favorite things to do with Nutella: • Smear on a chunk of fresh baguette and eat for breakfast with a cup of really strong coffee. In Italy, we started every day like this.
• Sandwich between sugar cookies
• Swirl into ice cream
• Put in homemade Pop-Tarts
• Eat with a spoon.
