Q: Just to be safe, I washed some already triple-washed organic baby kale so I could make a salad. Now the kale smells like it is rotten. I'm afraid to eat it. What happened?

Editor: My guess is that the kale didn't get thoroughly dry after you washed it, so the leftover kale did start to decompose a bit. At this point, you may be able to throw away the pieces that have gotten slimy and still eat the rest.
