Q: What is the best way to store cheese? I've been storing mine in the plastic it came in, sometimes using Saran wrap to it keep it airtight. Perhaps because I don't go through it all that fast, I'm finding that the edges of the cheese are often rubbery and inedible. I hate to waste it! Any tips?

Editor: Vanessa, yes — here's a guide to storing cheese to help it stay fresh:
• How to Store Cheese: What To Do When You Get It Home
The key is to preserve it from the odors of the fridge while still allowing the cheese to breathe. Also, it's quite normal to have to slice off rubbery or stale edges of your cheese from time to time, especially if you don't eat it quickly.
Readers, any other advice?
