There's a lot of debate about sugar: is it toxic? Is it just the processed stuff that's harmful? Or is sugar, well, sugar, regardless if it comes from honey, agave, or the classic white granules? Whatever your stance, here are 10 dessert recipes that all get their sweetness from one non-white-sugar source: maple syrup!

No no no! How will I ever be svelte if you post delicious-sounding recipes with my all time favorite ingredient!
Maple syrup is my favorite sweetener, though it's so expensive. Love seeing more recipes using it I'd also love to see more baked goods using non-white-sugar sweeteners and more whole grain flours. It's tricky to find reliable recipes like that.
I LOVE Maple Syrup too and I use it in pretty much everything I do (from BBQ chicken to Cocktails, breakfasts and desserts, of course!). I prefer Organic Maple Syrup though as the taste is cleaner and better. If you are looking for great Maple syrup products, there is this cool site that's called Rouge Maple and they offer the best maple syrup I ever tasted PLUS a variety of gourmet products made of maple syrup (spices, mustard, salad dressings). And you can even adopt a maple tree!! Bon appétit!
Thank theKitchn for these recipes, I'm keeping all of the these. Like Claritygolden and Rosabel, I too am a maple syrup fanatic...I use it on everything and yes I do know the site mentioned above, www.rougemaple.com, in fact I recently bought their organic maple syrup and I won;t be buying my maple syrup anywhere else...its like no other I've tasted. As for the recipes above, I'm also a chocolate fanatic so the Chocoate Fudge and Self Love speaks volumes to me...chocolate & maple syrup? How could you go wrong?
