Porcelain enamel—from cookware (like the beloved Le Creuset dutch oven) to kitchen tools—has the "unbreakability of steel and the glossy finish of glass," as one store put it. The finish is scratch-resistant, great for high heat, easy to clean, and completely timeless.

LOVE! Too bad it's fairly expensive. My super-limited budget can't afford a $50 lunch box, no matter how pretty. :( It would match all my beautiful vintage milk glass perfectly.
Love it too, shame it's not more widely available!! Plus it feels so nice in your hands!
I love the look of enamel, and wouldn't be without my LeCreuset for anything, but I remember a lot of this white enamel with the blue rim from my childhood that's not around any more. I asked my mum why it fell out of favour and she said that when it chipped (and it usually did around the rim, or along the edges of utensils) that it was like having shards of glass in your food... didn't sound appealing!
