While we love setting a pretty table, we don't give a lot of thought to our napkins. Yes, we use cloth napkins (most of the time) and try to have them pressed and presentable. But it ends there. So we were interested to see stylist Denise Vivaldo's new book: Perfect Table Settings: Easy and Elegant Ideas for Hundreds of Napkin Folds and Table Arrangements. We didn't know there were so many things to do with a napkin! Here's one simple, cute idea for Thanksgiving: A folded napkin bird's nest.
We think this is rather cute, and simple enough for the most craft-challenged among us. It would be an especially cute idea for the kids' table — you could set one of those water whistle birds right in the middle for after-dinner serenades.
Are you getting fancy with your napkins at all this year?
