My book (as yet untitled) will be out next spring from Stewart, Tabori & Chang, and it will be full of recipes for perennial favorites like pistachio and butterscotch puddings, as well as easy panna cotta, gluten-free mousse, and grain puddings made with whole grains like brown rice and quinoa. There will be classics, and there will be updated and fun recipes (S'Mores Pudding Cake, for instance, and the Blood Orange Fluff pictured above).
But I don't want to just share recipes. People seem to have a nostalgic connection to pudding like no other dessert, so I've also been collecting stories and memories from friends and other food writers about their favorite puddings.
And since you Kitchn readers are my daily companions (really!) I wanted to turn to you last, and certainly not least. What are your favorite pudding and no-bake desserts, and why? I'd love to hear!
