What's the Best Way to Label or Mark Kitchen Tools?

Q: I needed to purchase stainless steel spoons, tongs, knives, pans and baking sheets for our church. Since the facility is rented out, all these items need to be marked or labeled.

Since permanent marker seems to wear off, do you have any recommendations?
