What's cooking this weekend, folks? If you need some inspiration, or just some light weekend reading, here's a rundown of The Kitchn's past week. Fair food recipes, icy cocktails (lots of watermelon!), some beautiful kitchen designs, and good summer cooking tips below!

• New recipes and recipe reviews: Blueberry oat quick bread, grilled zucchini and tomato salad, homemade mayonnaise, and white fish and citrus salad with garlic fries.

Seven more recipes for fair food, including lemon shake ups, funnel cakes, corndogs, fried Oreos and Twinkies, nachos, roasted sweet corn, and ice cream sandwiches.

• And here's a whole other list of the drink recipes published this week; there were so many! Watermelon tarragon fizz, whiskey smash cocktail, gin gimlets, frozen watermelon margarita, aguas frescas, and lemon shake ups, fair-style.

• New kitchen tours and spotlights: $30 kitchen makeover (also, does does your kitchen need a makeover?) and a tour of Delancey, Orangette's new pizzeria in Seattle (gorgeous lighting design!).

• Interesting products: 5 lovely spice jar sets, Little Snowie snowcone maker, the perfect trash can, kitchen linens inspired by Julia Child's book covers, and cute salt pigs.

• In season: hot chili peppers, fresh fruit, blueberries, sweet corn, eggplant, zucchini and tomatoes.

• Kitchen design ideas: Pot filler faucet discussion, wire shelving for the countertop, and how to sew your own napkins and table runner.

• Are you a foodie, or a cook?

• How to use up leftover bagels and leftover cupcakes.

• How to bake bread on the stovetop.

• Party ideas for young pirates and the freshly laid-off.

• The Top Chef discussion thread returns!

• What food or drink do you wish you enjoyed more?

• Hot weather relief: frozen grapes, watermelon mojitos, and grilling indoors.

• Foods you should try: kudzu, plus twelve others you should try at least once.

Have a great weekend! Don't forget to stop by tomorrow to see the hottest posts published in the last week, and on Sunday for Dana's Weekend Meditation.
