Straw Mat from The ...

Sabbath chicken just came out of the oven, and I'm not sure what lies ahead for weekend cooking! Having a friend over for Sunday brunch, and I've got a kuri and a delicata squash. Maybe something squashy for brunch is in order?
i just made my first-ever batch of apple fritters. it won't be my last!
These look soooo good!!!
I'm studying up on brioche recipes. I've never made brioches before and I think I will do it next weekend (when it is supposed to be colder than this weekend). I know it is a bit of a time commitment so I want to be sure I know what I'm doing.
Today I'll put some rub on some ribs for tomorrow. I need to find some hard cider too.
Roast guinea fowl with fresh figs, pickled vegetables and organic cider.
I'll be looking into a lot of pumpkin recipes this weekend. Can't deny All Hallow's Eve is coming up.
i ll make something with pears. if you bake them, they are just melting in your mouth...dont forget the maple sirup and creme cheese!
I'm breaking out the pressure cooker to make a big ole pot of pinto beans and come cheddar cornbread to go with it. Fall is in the air!
I will be making a big pot of veggie chilli for the week with rice and corn bread. Also, carmel apple cider with cinnamon whipped cream:)I love fall!
I made those pear muffins this morning when I (finally) got up--they are excellent! Glad soup week is coming--I'll be tossing some stuff in the crockpot soon to make a veggie broth. Planning pasta with yellow squash and a spinach-ricotta torta. What else? The little one requests pumpkin chocolate chip cookies!
Making buns, split pea soup, chicken vegetable soup, popcorn, second horse punch, and mulled apple cider for a party tomorrow. Oh, and an apple and cheese plate. Can't wait!
I'm craving carbs, so tonight I'm making these rolls that I'm somewhat obsessed with: http://chickensintheroad.com/cooking/pepperoni-sausage-ricotta-and-mozzarella-roll/
Tomorrow is my honey's birthday celebration, so I'll be making Beef and Guinness Pie, garlic mashed potatoes, roasted Brussels sprouts, and Cook's Illustrated Chocolate Caramel Walnut Tart (it's a good thing we're going hiking beforehand!)
Apple, pear, Meyer lemon, fresh herb - anything and everything - the garden really loved the cooler Summer this year and I just began the apple harvest. So I finally succumbed to crockpot-itis and bought one - they're terrific for making fruit butter.
I'm making applesauce with the last of my apples from our yearly apple picking trek. We also have a big jug of apple cider from the orchard so we're also grilling chicken and making apple cider glazed root vegetables to go along with it. And Warm Apple Ginger Hot Toddy's to finish it all off.
Spinach sausage gratin last night, pumpkin pancakes this morning and grilled tri-tip with mashed roasted garlic cauliflower and sauteed 'shrooms this evening. Hubby trying out a new cheesecake recipe this evening for desert. Looking forward to some good eating tonight.
Chocolate chip scones, chili with cornbread topping, rice krispie treats
Hot & Sour Mushroom Cabbage and Rice Soup, known in our house as Feel Better Soon soup.
Casey Leigh ... would love to have that recipe!
If that is the same one we have on the site, then the recipe is here: Recipe: Hot and Sour Mushroom, Cabbage, and Rice Soup
This is my Feel Better Soon soup too! :)
Went on a bit of a retreat this weekend with friends, so I brought a quiche I made for breakfasts, and we made Pioneer Woman's Italian Drip Beef for the crowd - so tasty. Leftovers for this week too!
