Q: I'm getting together our wedding registry and would like to add a cast iron skillet. I see that Lodge is a good go-to source, but I have no idea what size to get! If you're going to start with just one, what's the best size to get? Is there a size that most recipes calling for a cast iron skillet tend to use?

Editor: I recommend either a 10-inch or a 12-inch skillet! Either size will give you good flexibility with making a lot of different dishes.
