What do all those Olympic athletes eat every day? What fuels them for such amazing feats of athletic prowess? This arresting series of photographs from Michael Bodiam and Sarah Parker represents a day of food for five different athletes.
The food on each plate in these still-life photographs, which we first saw at Nowness, represents a full day of eating for an athlete in a particular discipline. The stylist laid miniature versions of the food out so you can see in one glance that a male triathlete eats toast, tomatoes, a sweet potato, blueberries, chocolate milk, and an apple, among many other things each day.
The diets seen in these photos is drawn from the eating plans of Dan Benardot, an Olympian nutritionist.

Did I miss the part where they said who eats what? Not all that interesting if it's just "some athlete who plays some sport eats this."
Yea I am not sure if I am missing something on there, like a link to the actual article maybe, All i saw was one general paragraph and a picture of a large plate with mini food on it.
Make sure you view the photos full-screen -- there are captions there.

Yeah that kind of loses the interesting factor without names attached to it, and the scaling of the food was confusing and took away from it looking like a "crazy" amount of food. Interesting idea, ineffective execution, in my opinion anyway.
Sorry, I didn't like this either. I would have liked to see the actual meals they eat, not just the ingredients. Is someone really eating a bell pepper by itself?
I'd like to see Michael Phelps' junk food meal plan photographed. That would be something.
Well, that was disappointing. Are those pieces of broccoli or heads of broccoli? Because three pieces of broccoli aren't that impressive. The scale totally ruins the concept.
