As the Fall Kitchen Cure progresses, we are seeing a lot of your refrigerators, freezers, and pantries. It's always a fascinating anthropological thing to peek in someone's else's fridge. We're curious: among the cleaning and de-cluttering, what are the things that stayed in the fridge, and what are the things that are always there? What's always in the back of your fridge, ready to be used? Here are a few things always on hand in mine:
• At least half a dozen jams and marmalades
• Miso paste
• Butter and eggs
• Soy sauce
• Sesame, walnut, and other nut oils
