Q: I'm hosting a meeting for our beer homebrew club this Thursday and looking to serve some small easy finger foods that pair well with multiple kinds of beer. Any suggestions?

Editor: Classic pub and bar food is always a hit for beer pairings. What about a big pot of soup, like chili or minestrone, and mini-grilled cheese sandwiches? Something chocolate for dessert would do well with the darker beers.
Readers, what ideas do you have?

Finger foods, cheeses, and small fruits: grapes, strawberries, melon chunks.
cheese, sausages, nuts
I always go with a small assortment of cheeses, from mild to sharp, and something seasonal. In the spring and summer, some cucumber bites- sliced, peeled cucumber with a bit of roasted tomato cheese spread on top are great or marinated mozzarella skewered on a toothpick with a grape tomato. For fall/winter I prefer little brie bites- phyllo cups filled about halfway with brie, baked at 350 for 10-15 minutes with fig spread on top, or sweet potato fries/chips.
Nutty cheeses, cornichons, salumi, dried fruit, baguette would be classic. Or Mexican style with chips and and queso fundido. Or go all-american with pretzels and nacho cheese dip.
I will definitely second the pretzels. Fresh made pretzels straight from the ovens are amazing.
I love the idea of a platter of cheese, nuts, grapes, crackers, and cured meats. Different flavors for all preferences.
And, you can never go wrong with spicy appetizers in my book...

Awww, crap. I can't make an embedded hyperlink work for anything. Sigh... that link does work, though! Click through and forgive me for being a noob.
