Q: Somewhere along the way, I heard that saffron was a good spice to use so I purchased a small bottle from Trader Joe's, but don't know how to use it.
Can it be used in any way for any meat?
I was thinking about baking some chicken parts with a little liquid in the bottom of the dish — could a little saffron be used in the liquid before putting the chicken in?

Editor: Yes, saffron is usually steeped in a little warm water or broth before being added to dishes to "bloom" its flavor. It's a great addition to chicken dishes, as well as rice dishes.
